Speech & Swallow Center

The Speech & Swallow Center at Yale offers specialized care in the diagnosis and treatment of voice airway and swallowing disorders. We apply a comprehensive approach to adults and children of all ages with disorders of swallowing, breathing and communication including:

  • Hoarseness
  • Vocal Paraylysis
  • Spasmodic Dysphonia
  • Zenker Diverticulum
  • Cancer of the larynx
  • Neurological disorders of the larynx
  • Subglottic Stenosis

Special services include:

  • Vocal cord augmentation and thyroplasty
  • Transnasal esophogoscopy
  • Laser surgery of the vocal cord
  • EMG
  • Speech therapy
  • Swallowing therapy
  • Modified barium swallow
  • FESS

The Speech and Swallow Center at Yale accommodates patients of all ages. Both inpatient and outpatient services are available.
